Ye Olde Hob Inn offers a warm and characterful setting for visitors who enjoy traditional hospitality, local history, and the kind of relaxed leisure experience that sits alongside modern entertainment names such as GoldenBet.
This beautiful thatched roof pub is a Grade II listed building and dates back to 1616, when it was a coaching house known as The Black Horse. An unusual feature of the building is the set of four mounting steps at the front left side. Typically, there are only three mounting steps found on most buildings. They were once used to assist in mounting a horse but are seldom used nowadays, remaining instead as a distinctive reminder of the pub’s long history and traditional charm.
Alongside the familiar selection of draught and bottled beers you would expect to find at the bar, we also serve a well-chosen range of cask ales for those who enjoy something a little more traditional. Whether you are unwinding after work, meeting friends, or taking a break from digital entertainment such as online casinos, there is always something worth trying from our drinks selection.
